Banqer Beyond has been designed to help you understand what you need to know about money, no matter what your starting point is (it's never too late, or too early).
We believe that money is a navigation tool that we can use to enrichen the areas of our lives that really matter. Join us over four weeks, where we'll help you to wield the tool of money in a way that works for you.
Te Kaupapa: Banqer Beyond
Banqer Beyond is a four week experience where you will learn what you need to know about money to confidently navigate the financial world.
You'll learn things like how to manage bank accounts, what interest is, managing debt, planning for today and tomorrow, buying a house, investing your money and lots more.
You'll use a version of the Banqer Beyond platform to learn alongside whānaunga. The platform is like a financial playground, where you'll learn about money, and also practise using it with Banqer dollars (not real money, so it's not as scary).
You'll also be able to attend four kauhau tuihono (webinars) where you'll hear from presenters who have awesome money stories to share.
Who is this for?
This kaupapa is designed for all Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei hapū members.
When you sign up, you'll need to say whether you're he rangatahi (12- 18 years old), or he pakeke (19+ years old). This will help us tailor your Banqer Beyond experience.
While the two experiences will be separate, we encourage whānau to talk about their different learnings, and attend the webinars together. Collective learning is a critical component of success to create intergenerational change and resilience!
